Nigerians React As Atiku And Obi Appear On “The Candidates with Kadaria

NEWSLINE MEDIA NETWORK

The programme "The Candidates"  is anchored by Kadaria Ahmed to give political office seekers a platform to tell the masses about their plans to develop Nigeria.
Nigerians React As Atiku And Obi Appear On “The Candidates with Kadaria
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential hopefuls, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi were on the hot seat yesterday, the 30th of January at the last edition of the program, to defend their strategies ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Nigerians have been reacting on Twitter on the performance of Atiku and Obi at the interview, and the general attitude of the interviewer, Kadaria Ahmed during the sessions.

Some Nigerians on Twitter think she was biased towards the former vice-president while she was nice to President Muhammadu Buhari when he was on the show two weeks ago.

Others said that during President Buhari’s interview, she looked professional and smart but that she looked unprofessional while interviewing Atiku and Obi on Wednesday night.

She came under attack for allegedly asking tough questions to the Atiku/Obi, making it look like an inquest or trial, compared to the questions put to the  incumbent president and Vice when they appeared on The Candidates.

The defiant interviewer, Ahmed Kadaria questioned each strategy of the duo as Nigerians watched with keen interest for obvious reasons. Atiku and his running mate Obi are the major contenders for the seat of the presidency.

I don’t know what @KadariaAhmed is doing with the program. It is looking like an inquest or a trial. I am interosculating the process here with the previous ones. I believe GMB’s was a more friendly chat for obvious reasons. #NgTheCandidates pic.twitter.com/023CtlDMs7

Great Oracle
@AbdulMahmud01
 Kadaria is a lightweight, over-hyped journalist who has no knowledge of policy or interrogation skill. Her engagement with Atiku/Obi shows tonight.

 Where was this energy that Kadaria is bringing with @MBuhari and @ProfOsinbajo though? #NgTheCandidates

 Atiku and Obi exceeded my expectations tonight, especially Atiku. I personally didn’t even know he was this sound.

As for Peter Obi, mans brought India, Rwanda & S.A into his analogies today since APCists don’t want us to be as great as China. #NgTheCandidates #AtikuObi2019

 Nah, I don't like the combative posture of the interviewer, but Atiku and Obi are holding up well. How many jobs has Buhari created in Katsina State & how much impact has Buhari had on Katsina? #NgTheCandidates

 The Money to run the Economy according to @PeterObi will actually be raised by cutting the amount of Money that Government has to raise by itself to fast track development!

very deep mindset and a smart way of thinking!

And he has actually done it before!#NGTheCandidates

 Good call by Kadaria as Peter Obi reels out lies again, claiming that the APC promised a Naira to a Dollar. She says: let’s focus on what you’re doing. 👌🏾#NGTheCandidates

 I banter a lot but this is not just banter, Peter Obi lies too much for a people’s leader. Someone he respects needs to look him in the face and tell him.

Kadaira: Are you saying that all that  Obasanjo wrote in his letter to you were lies?
Atiku: I'm not hear to answer that
In his mind: this girl has passed her boundaries

 Peter Obi is like that uncle you used to look up to when you were young. Confident, successful and exposed. You know he adds the occasional white lie here and there just to make his stories sound better and you really don’t mind.

In addition, a reduction in corporate tax will result to decrease in the price of goods and services from those corporate organizations. It will be a win win situation

Sure. Vanilla libertarian pro-capitalist position but yeah it is good we are beginning to hear stuff like that around here too, advancing the discourse. Although I would argue that those who are meant to pay under the present tax regime are avoiding it so need for leak stops.

I don’t know which technology of research
@KadariaAhmed
 did, but her research showed that 1 individual is the LARGEST employer of labour in Adamawa State (only after the state Govt) and she couldn’t give him 1,000,000,000,000,000 accolades?
Really?

Even if the downward review of the corporate/company tax is of a negligible percentage? If taxes alone are slashed but other potent variables remains on the high side, how can it attract more production and subsequently, employment? I'm not an economist so pardon my ignorance.

Atiku & Obi clearly have a better understanding of a wide range of topics than APC. Atiku talked about his use of the "public purse" for treating minor ailments at FMC Yola, his appreciation of micro-financing & how lower taxation drives economic growth #NgTheCandidates.
